Vintage Vikas. With or without color, the images are simple, bold, and joyous. This is no exception. -Michael

I certainly applaud the technical achievements of this photograph. Managing to get the high key look in the metal while keeping the entire edge visible is quite a feat. Then again, you show a flair for achieving the difficult. ;)

But, even understanding your desire to high-key the implement, I find the image to be sterile.

Thanks Jim, appreciate it. I wanted this pic to represent the challenge theme exactly and hence shot this thus.

Thanks Lonnit. :-)

Thanks Mikel/Jeannie. Actually, I wanted to make the stirrer completely white (high key) and therefore shot this with the light reflecting off the metal making it turn white (to show part of the metal reflections would be fairly easy actually). The toughest part was trying to make sure that the edges weren't blown so had to experiment with that; took quite a while :-)

Thanks Timothy, I agree 100%. :-)

Cheers, Vikas.

Actually I disagree with the previous two posters - I like the effect you have obtained, almost a graphic art look. (Im sure there is a name for this sort of 2 colour image, but I cant recall it!)

Personallu I think it would be rather more boring done any other way.

Vikas - This is a nice crisp image, but I would prefer to see more depth. I think this could be accomplished by showing some shading detail on the utensil. -- Jeannie (jburly)

Wow, imagine that. A crisp, clean image. With Vikas' signature on it. Like that happens all the time, or something. ;)

However.... if the subject were metallic (which I do not know), then the color may be interesting to see.

Wow. This is terrific. I always love a good, well-defined pattern and this has that nailed. This fits the theme to perfection and is just a great composition. Of course, that's what I've come to expect from you! Wonderful.
