Nancy - I looked at your galleries and in particular the rust motif. If you like that colouring, you would love the natural 'rustic' colours of sandstone. Unfortunately they're not showing in this pic. If you like I can send you some full colour images that I'm sure you'll like - John
Very beautiful stone patterns, really gets the imagination going. --Melanie (mlynn)

What Michael said about the B/W conversion is right-- it fits the imagery perfectly. Oh, I love this-- I don't even have the words. Sandstone, gotta find me some of that. ;-) --Nancy/odigi
John, these are wonderful landscape patterns...kudo's to you for finding them. The b&w conversion is really strong and just spot on, IMHO. -Michael Puff
Nancy - Glad you like it. It is sandstone with uneven weathering due to lines of iron ore. In colour, the rock varies between tan and brown and the red ochre (lines)11 of the harder iron deposits. It was up on a cliff overlooking the sea but is similar to much of the sandstone at sea level around the headlands. Cheers - John.
Oh my gosh, this is incredible. What kind of rock is that? Wow, you're so lucky to have found this.... and I'm so envious!!! Pattern Perfection. --Nancy/odigi
