Ghost Family *

Chula Vista, CA

When I was shooting the waterfall image, I had an idea for this ghost family photo.

Again it is a 30 second exposure. But this time, when I released the shutter, I ran
to the waterfall and then paused in frame for about 5 seconds. I had my family
hiding behind the waterfall and they popped out for about the same amount of time
and then hid again. We did one take.

Post processing included a crop, brightness and contrast boost and then a de-saturation
and the addition of grain. I rather like the way it turned out but would welcome your
suggestions on how to make it better. Thanks again, -Earl

Earl, I think you all needed to be visible for a little less time - especially yourself - as you aren't quite as "ghostly" as you might have been. Maybe 3 seconds instead of 5?

That is a fun element of the long exposures. theFly
