Rob,

Funny b/c this particular shot was the one I was least 'happy' doing. It came right after another series in this chair where I was upside down and in so much pain. I was spent by the time I got to this. Yes, it was quite hard to hold my legs up and still that long. That chair was extremely akward to work with, but I did like the way it managed to just cover me at the top of the legs. I thought the cut-off point there was good. I was planning on getting another, different type of chair after this but I'd had it by then. LOL! You are totally right about the top - that wasn't the plan. I moved to this window b/c I was going to try to stand in it, where I'd have more room to move and would be able to get the camera further back, plus I could get the room darker. When I got there I discovered that this window sill would not allow me to stand - I had nothing to grab onto to stay up there, plus it was narrower and I would have been pressing into the verticals. Since I was already in that room and had dragged my gear in, I glanced around to see what was available and spotted the chair. I was only 'in wardrobe' for my bottom half since my top half wasn't going to be showing. This is what I ended up with. I don't think I'll have time for a reshoot, but if I do, the plan is definitely to use the other chair and complete the wardrobe. :)

Thanks so much for your great input!
Lonnit

Lonnit, I like this one the most as it seem less akward if that make any sense? The other two (very nice as they are) feel a little.....I am not happy doing this..

This one has great colors, shape and a little bit of the whole package. Keeping still that long must have been very tricky. I can see you are very comfortable with yourself (as you should be), but I can't help wondering why you didn't capitalise on the whole body, If you were my model I would have wanted less seat and more of your shape, but they may have been hard to keep still that long. Nice shot wrong color top, a black with a body arch would have been a killer

I'm so glad you appreciate the difficulty of this! You can't imagine the pain I suffered for this challenge! There is also another series where I'm lying in that chair, upside down with my legs in the air! It was agonizing on my back and neck. I had to get in the chair then hoist myself way up to get my legs to start at the top ridge of the chair, then arch my neck backwards so my hair would hang down, then to top it off, in several frames I even let go with one hand and draped the other back with my hair! I did that series just prior to this series. My abs were hurting and shaking here b/c this position was NOT condusive to lifting the legs in this particular chair. It was sooo hard to hold those legs up! I MUST get back into the gym already!!! No matter how slowly I counted to 4 in my head, there still seemed to be quite a few seconds going by before I'd hear that shutter snap shut! LOL! ~ Lonnit

WOW now that is a really cool shot; love the toning and the colour and of course, the pose. Gosh, must have been difficult to keep still in THAT position for 4 secs. ;-)

Cheers, Vikas.
