Angela, i was not aware of the movie connection. it adds a different dimension. But the cult has not reached the south west of france yet. I'll be sure t let you know when it hits. andy

Andy, I appreciate your comment -- thanks! I thought about just calling it "Swingline", but actually, these Red Swingline Staplers have gained SUCH a cult following because of the movie, they've gained their full title. A Swingline is a Swingline, but a Red Swingline is something all together different on its own. The "red" in this case is not just an adjective, it's a proper name.

Angela, you are an experieced phtgrapher and i'm not, so choose to do with this what you will. Great image by the way. The title. Drop the Red. I said this in a comment to another entrant. The title does have an affect on the viewer. If anyone is in any doubt as to the colour of this object, what the object is or what its function is they are warmly invited to my sons third birthday party as they'll get on fine. I get the feeling that titles are not important to you. But in that case you should definately drop the red. Anyway, this is my first challenge and i'm only putting comments on images with impact. Ah man. I have in my hands right now a Swingline stapler that I planned on using in a photo for the challenge this evening. Dang it. As I had a very different idea in mind I may still shoot it. All the same, you have a very nice image. Great idea and wonderfully photographed. -Earl Waud
