...regress?

Hmm. Nice try, but I think this might be a case of what happens when you don't get orders in writing.

I had a hard time getting this shot under 150KB. Had to knock the image quality down to 9 and resize to 750px. It looks a lot better at the quality in my PaD gallery. Oh well.

P.S. Thanks for the vote of encouragement (again) Cindy!

Holy cats! Thanks, Olaf! I've started developing pattern baldness from ripping chunks of hair out trying to fix this problem with the perspective tools. Much, much nicer...

Now that Grant has pointed out the main weakness of the 18-55 kit lens, let me share how to get rid of that pesky distortion of that lens set to 18mm: I use Panotools - a free plug-in that is very poweful - but NOT very intuitive nor user-friendly. You need to use the "Correct" filter and set it for "Radial Shift", then click on the options. Now there is a matrix that needs to filled out with numbers. I have found the correct settings for that lens at 18mm to be the following: a=0.0118, b=-0.036589, c=0 and d=1.024789 - same values for all channels (red, green and blue).

I like the texture but I am slightly distracted by the barrel distortion.
