Red in more ways than one.

Reappearing from the "Flight" challenge.

For the record - the fluorescent red number at the nose was captured exactly as-is by the color shot - the aircraft has that number in that shade. (The B&W conversion was done by copying a layer, converting it to B&W, and then erasing spots to let the original color come through.)

Hi Markjay - I could get closer to the aircraft (but not right next to it) - and of course from ground level, I'd have to shoot from the ground slightly upwards. This angle allowed me to capture the entire aircraft more or less isolated. FWIW, I felt that the B&W was almost mandatory because of the many different kinds of light that were in the frame - the light at upper right reflecting off the floor was sunlight, with spotlights of different intensities elsewhere. Major color cast issues. -Ed Hahn

Great shot, Ed. You did a great job on the B & W and, I really like this image the way it is right now. Question: did you only have top view access to the aircraft? Would have been really cool to get down to the same level as the craft. Markjay
