Terrific concept, but the lack of contrast and sharpness steal the appeal. A more oblique shooting angle would have added interest as well. I would have centered the focus on the eyes, as that is where mine are immediately drawn. --Joe

Thanks for the comments. Actually, the picture is inside a book and the grey tones match the original picture. Anyway, I'll try the suggestions made and will report the results. Pauline

It's an interesting and creative contribution. I think I would prefer the greyscale part a bit darker and with more contrast. Maybe this even goes for the colored bits. --Olaf.dk
