I did something in post-processing to this picture that I've never done to a picture before. I applied sharpening only to the green channel. It's not obvious that I did so unless you load the picture and apply another round of sharpening. Then it becomes obvious.
I sharpened the green channel because the scope of detail in the three channels was very different. The red channel included detail in most of the picture. The blue included only the area immediately around the light. The green included the interesting detail.
Perhaps what I should have done was to make a mask using the green channel and then apply sharpening to the whole picture and fade to lightness or something like that.
Instead I simply sharpened the green and faded to darken. The fade was in order to prevent bright halos. -- Victor
