I spotted the storage area for some roadworks that had been going on recently. This photo is of a field of bollards, backlit by the late afternoon sun.

Sorry, I hadn't realised it was an English English word only, rather than American English: bollard noun 1 a short thick post that boats can be tied to 2 MAINLY UK a post that is put in the middle or at the end of a road to keep vehicles off or out of a particular area --- What would you call these in America? I also titled this image as a play on words, partly because I was stumped for a better title. The play on words also only works in UK English, and it may be too subtle even then. --- Richard.

Looks like a large crowd of people standing around jostling and chatting. I've never heard the word 'bollards' before, a comical name for comical looking things. --Melanie

I didn't know that's what these things are called. lol. That is a bunch. It almost looks like a big line like you see at Disney Land or something - all weaiting, marching. haha. I almost want to crop the very top off so nothing but the bollards remain, but I also like the sense of distance the current crop yields . . . so not sure. Cindy
