Michael - thanks so much for your comments. The fact that this is just 'an object floating in a white void' means I have truly achieved my goal. The shadows come the morning after, and the highlights, if any, are often not remembered. That is just my take on 'oblivion'.
Cheers - Tracy!

Nice shot, nice idea. Technically, it needs some shadows and highlights or even reflections to tell us that this subject is 3D and is standing on _something_. Presently, it's just a "floating object" in white void.

Agree with the previous comments as well, but I like the shape, strong colour and the unusual aspect, as you rarely see an upturned bottle like that. Looking through the glass seems to give the impression of an ice bacground as well - excellent
Tracy - no matter what - it's a strong image. The fact that the bottle is upside down, cap off, really stresses that it is empty, and the fact that it is absolutely empty could also be interpreted as the alcoholic's regret and frustration: "Damn, not a drop left!". So you see, you got me thinking with that image... --Olaf.dk

Thanks Ed and Olaf for your input.
Ed - I like your idea about the drop left inside... I'll try that next time.
Olaf - thanks for your point of view as I was wondering about that. My initial intent was to make an image of 'oblivian', then my daughter told me the curved labels looked like a smile, so I changed it at the last minute... I think I'll change it back.
Cheers - Tracy!
To some, this actually wouldn't be "Time Well Wasted", but rather just "Time Wasted" or "Opportunities Lost". It could just as well have been the other way around, but for some reason this image made me think of the poor woman whose man is an alcoholic. Maybe because it is upside down, and this is what she'd like to do with it - if she found it - over the sink... --Olaf.dk
