Hi Olaf and Victor,
This was taken at the Corning Museum of Glass gift shop. There is a series of balconies/walkways on the second floor gallery directly over the gift shop with open areas over the first floor. I was standing almost directly over the 3 tables. I did not extend the camera out over the balcony. I stood up against the balcony railing with my elbows leaning on the railing holding the camera for a view almost straight down. There are several open areas and I have other images looking down as well. I'll post a link later so you can see them if you are interested. Roberta

This is really interesting... the colors, the perspective. Reminds me of Chahouly (speling?) glass works. Markjay

Olaf,

Look at the legs of the tables. You can tell (partly from the fact that you can see them at all) that the camera would have fallen on the floor just this side of the tables -- unless, of course, the camera were being tossed. -- Victor

Well the graphic in this is a lot easier to spot - it doesn't require too much from my tired brain, like your Museum-shot almost did. Nice composition, but I can't help but wonder: how did you get the camera into that position? Even if you were on a balcony, you would have to reach pretty far out to get this, no? OK, you shot this with the 50/1.4 but for arguments sake, lets pretend you were using your favorite L-glass and then imagine if you'd dropped that Canon glass on those glass art pieces! Which would be pricier to pay for? I guess the Canon glass would be easier to replace, as it is a mass produced product... Sorry for rambling! --Olaf

I see you made it back there, Roberta. Nice image - and would work with or without the shopper... -Ed Hahn
