Great shot! What a mayhem of lines, yet so simple!
Very dynamic image.

Very nice image, Ed. I find that I am trying to connect the lines on the pole with the ones on the horizontal crossbar-geometry in thin air, so to say.

The shadows on that pole are quite marvelous. Reminds me of a barbers pole or some kind of striped candy. - Jon S

Ed, no need for it to be a conscious decision! There is nothing wrong with a photographic instinct - in fact that is very desirable! --Olaf

The wide-to-narrow shadow on the vertical pole adds an artistic flair. Shu

Thanks Markjay - I wish I could say the relative alignment of the two was a conscious decision, but it wasn't. :-) -Ed Hahn

I like this very much, Ed. I especially like how the vertical line at the top of the image and the pillar are positioned in relation to one another. Nice work. Markjay
