OK Olaf, I replaced the other picture with this one as you suggested :-) Looks like the consensus interpretation of photoGRAPHIC is that of strong edges with sharp contrast against the background. Hmmm.

Great you were able to find this (with your eyes). I really like the image but, wish you had cropped off the top of the image (all above the top railing line. When I scroll my window so that you can't see anything above the top rail, it kind of makes the image more "clean" for me visually. Nicely seen. Markjay

Wonderful! I love the patterns in the chairs and table complementing the vertical lines of the railing. Definitely a great entry to the Graphic challenge!

Yeah Anna! I like this very much and think it is a great example of a graphic photo! I like your analysis in your caption and think you are on to something. Byron looked up graphic and put it in his caption to his "Basic Graphic Tool" photo: "Graphic... from Grafia... to inscribe with lines such as to communicate meaning". I like that definition a lot too!

Back to this photograph: I really like the graphic chairs and tables against the blue sky reflection and their kind of random placement. The relatively distant and low shooting position has yielded an interesting and almost flat, two-dimensional perspective, which adds to the graphic feel to the image. Graphics are usually two-dimensional and often try to simulate depth, through perspective lines etc. The process was the opposite in taking this photograph, but the result is very much the same - very graphic!
