Teapot,
I like the addition of color on the kite. It has a wonderful mood and makes you feel good. Roberta

Phil. I didn't have much time to spend on it so yes I probably could make the edges a little smoother.

Alan, I think the image is better for the colour but the edges of the kite and tail look a bit ragged to me. Phil

OK. Changed the kite to colour. What do you think?

Very nice, great clouds with the kite tail extending all the way...I love B&W shots so no problem on that account.

Teapot,
I like the B&W a lot. It almost looks like an infrared shot. Color on the kite might be really nice. It has a soothing mood and makes me want to get to the beach. Roberta

Just tried adding the kite back in in colour and looks great. Will work on it tonight and upload.

Looks great in color - although maybe a compromise and turn down the saturation of the sand a bit, that is if you decide to make the change.

I do like the photo regardless. -Ed Hahn

Why B&W? I just liked the look of it. No other reason.
The colour image can be seen herehttp://www.pbase.com/image/32917788
I will change it if you think it works better in colour or partial colour.

To echo Phil - (*) perhaps make the kite color while keeping the rest monochrome? -Ed Hahn

I have to ask - why b/w? Phil
