Ed, this BW conversion is flawless! Fantastic range and tone, good compostion. There is such a "feel" to this shot. Kudos!! The only thing I'd suggest is toning down the red. The star on the tail has a much nicer, more natural look to it, like it really fits in with its darker shade. It looks like it belongs, whereas the # in red looks artificial. Absolutely fantastic shot though! ~ Lonnit

Thanks everyone for their comments - this is a hard museum to photograph in (too many different kinds of light = major color cast issues guaranteed). The color of the numbers was indeed a fluorescent orange-red - in fact, I just duplicated the layer, transformed the upper layer to B&W, and then "cut out" the insignia on the airplane. -Ed Hahn
