Winning Hand*

We needed a cigarette butt for this shot, but neither one of us smokes. In desparation, Ed hurried to his sister's to round up some butts from his niece and returned with a handfull. Only later did I learn that Ed's niece wasn't home and his sister said the CVS was closed, but she had seen some butts outside the entrance!! YUK!!

I like it. Nice concept. Maybe some smoke from the cigarette and maybe a wider crop with a scotch glass on the table with some real nice dept of feild would have done the trick for me.

Good double-take on the Challenge theme. Somehow, the lighting seems a bit harsh. Would help to have some manner of diffusing the light source. Also, as you noted, the soiled, smokeless cigarette doesn't contribute much. I'd light it, and feel a tad naughty taking a puff or two [sMiLe]...
