Lonesome Lily
by Vikas

Okay so am terribly bored. Haven't had a moment to shoot during the day but hopefully today being Sunday, will have the opportunity to go out and shoot some. So bored that this is all that I could come up with tonight, trying to shoot a flower macro with a non macro 50mm Mark II lens. Oh well!

Beautiful backlit shot Vikas. How many lights did you use, 1 or 2?

I agree, the lighting of this flower is superb!

Vikas, bored or not, right lens or not, you did very well! The lighting is very good. As is obvious from my entries, I LIKE backlight! The angle of the light was high enough to get some light directly on the front petals as well. Well done, as otherwise the front petals could very easily have become too dark. I think it is a very nice photograph - and it is the lighting that makes it so - my definition of on-topic in this challenge! --Olaf
