Permanence
by David McGaughey

Amherst, MA

I was looking out my window and noticed that as the sun dropped, the tree was being sidelit.

A lot of the character of this elegant giant comes out in the texture and sweep of its branches.

Comments, criticism, and disagreements very appreciated.

Interesting tight crop gives an abstract feeling. Nice light & textures.

I had the same association to elephant legs! I agree 100% with what else has already been said. --Olaf.dk

Lighting and mono treatment really brings out the textures well. On my first glance they put a vision in my head of elephant legs. Freaky huh?

David,
Really nice image. I like the semi-abstract effect and the lighting and texture. Roberta
