Gammel Strand, Copenhagen, Denmark

I didn't think I'd find the time to participate in this challenge, but brought my camera - just in case.
Noticed this scene on my way home from work today. The sun was in just the right position,
so I had to work fast. Parked my bike, got the camera out and started shooting away.

About the lens: The sun is in the frame. No visible flare or ghosting!
Amazing performance, probably not possible with any wide-angle zoom!

Thanks everyone - I am really pleasantly surprised at the on-flow of positive comments on this one! Sure, I thought it had some nice qualities - that's why I posted it - but still...? I kept noticing backlit cobblestones on my way home from work, when I came upon this. The "path of light" and the shadow of the sculpture added enough extra interest, to make me stop and get out my camera. Had it not been for this challenge, this photograph would most likely not have been taken. That's the greatest thing about these challenges. They keep you shooting and looking at the world with fresh eyes! --Olaf

An awesome example of what a fisheye can do!! Great use of the light and shadows. Your choice of B&W here is perfect as it really makes the eye concentrate on the lighting and form. Excellent.

Well done, Olaf! I like how the fisheye effect curves the shadow. -Ed Hahn
