Interesting affect and nice isolation. However, the CD element is far too strong. It looks more like a CD with light bouncing off it, then any essence of light. If the CD was blurred more or spun faster, then this would be a stronger 'light' image, in my opinion.

My intentions were to show parts of what makes up "light." WordReference.com Dictionary defines "Light" as electromagnetic radiation that is capable of causing a visual sensation and has wavelengths from about 380 to about 780 nanometres. The light we can see represents only a very small portion of this electromagnetic spectrum. What you saw was light :)

isn't art incredibly subjective? I really don't "see the light" in this being great but, obviously someone else seemed to like it. commend you on your efforts

A CD was tied on a string and spun. I used a halogen shop light at a 45 degree angle to obtain the desired effect. I also used a black paper as a background to isolate any distractions in the frame.
