I agree with Phil, the little bit of extra noise adds to the shot. This makes me think of laying in bed about to go to sleep, trying to get enough energy to go turn the dang light off - so the noise effect adds to the mood of the photo.

I think the little bit of noise adds to the image, it's a bit of a by-product of shooting these kind of images I think and nothing to be ashamed of! It certainly fits the challenge theme and your composition is good. Phil

The ceiling is textured a little, but not THAT much. I metered this shot wrong and it came out too dark. Since this was the angle I really liked the best, I lightened in PS. so what you're seeing, basically, is a little noise. I tried changing to B&W to lose some of that, but I still preferred this shot. I decided to live with it!

The patterns on the ceiling are neat. Is the ceiling itself textured, or did you do something else to get the grainy effect?
