I'm not so sure. I agree that if I had composed it better at the time, with the handle entirely in or out of shot, it would look better.
I don't like the picture with the handle cropped out though. I've tried it in various ways and I can't get the composition right and the photo looks far far too red. Clicking auto-levels in photoshop produced a pleasing effect, but I don't think it's suited to this competition.

I agree with Ed. If you crop out the top of the shot it works much better.
Well captured. (*) Would it work better if the handle attachment point were not in the shot (i.e. just a yellow band across)? -Ed Hahn

Far too many, although most of them were for larger splashes and feature the bucket with rocks falling near by. I think I filled a 250mb card with jpgs.
