Thanks everyone.

Karl, you are right about the darker as it goes to the right. I added it give a little more of a surreal feel. I don't know if I hit that or not. Thanks for the input.

Zack, it is shot at ISO 100. I added noise post process.

Thanks again.

This is on my shortlist for this challenge. The only thing I find odd about this is how the sand gets darker as we move right. It's almost as though the duck was in a soft spotlight. I'm not sure what I think of it :)

There's something really eerie about this picture- it looks like it came out of a horror film. I like it a lot. What ISO speed was this shot at?

The wide format gives the empty feel to it. Surprising not to see one of your b&w for this.

Scott, Very nicely done. My sentiments echo Joe's pretty much. This image just cries out 'lonely' and it pulls at the heart...just makes the playground duck seem to be begging for attention.....very nice!--John Mankos

Scott: I like the heavy tones, muted colors, and moderate grain. All heighten the sense of abandonment. To me, the emotion "seeps" out of it slowly, so the longer I look, the more it tugs. Nice. --Joe
