Hey, Willa: 28-135 IS USM. Terrific lens. Versatile, sharp, good contrast, great color. Deserving of its fine reputation. I normally update my images to reflect the lens. Just forgot. Thanks for the nudge. --Joe

I know we should make “fresh” comments but it becomes hard to follow after the ones below. I agree with them all. It may be just a “casual” shot to you but it’s the way you handle it. Photography at its highest level. Peter

Iso: Before you begin ruler testing your 10D, be aware that I have several techniques in post-processing for enhancing perceptions of focus accuracy, clarity, and sharpness. Like most folks, I have a couple of trusted global (e.g. whole image) sharpening techniques. But I also have some selective techniques, used to sharpen key subject areas without making the whole image look over-sharpened or over-processed. Drop me a note if you'd like the gory detail. --Joe

Perfect. The eyes have it and the format adds interest. Portraiture seems to be your thing. You get a wonderful focus and sharpness. I've never questioned the focus on my 10D, but when I see some of your shots I have to wonder if I should be getting more out of mine ;-)

The flowing hair, the justified right composition, and the girls striking eyes really make this one enjoyable for me to view. Mark J

Joe, this is a lovely portrait. I love the girl's expression, so open and even a bit wistful. I also love the color and lighting. Good one. Ann C

Beautiful. The crossing hairs add a twinkle to her eyes, which are fascinating even without it. Perfect focus and DOF. --Garrett
