Machimbre is the Spanish word for tongue and groove lumber. It is a contraction for macho + hembra, male and female.
Most of the work for this picture involved preparing the wood. For texture, I wanted to emphasize the wood grain, so I worked the wood with a knife and various kinds of sandpaper. The only post-processing done to this picture was cropping and USM.
