Organic vs Manmade*

Pittsburgh, PA USA

I thought this shot would be a good entry for the Opposites Challenge; the soft, bright and organic snow and shrub as compared to the hard, dark and inorganic lines of the building. This is the back of the Carnegie Museum of Art, I have been eyeing this particular section of it for a while now waiting for the right combo to shoot it.

The only post processing was a slight sharpening in Photoshop to the lightness layer. I convert to lab color, select that layer in the channel pallet and apply sharpness before converting back into RGB. I also adjust contrast and level a hair. The very last thing is a touch of neat image just for the heck of it.
