Invisible Egg
*by Mark Hensley

I got the inspiration for these shots when I saw a reflection from my dog's water bowl hitting the wall. My son and daughter then helped me refine the shots by blocking sun falling on the wall and only allowing the reflection to create these patterns and shadows.

Hi Denise,

Thank you for the comment. If you're interested I can give you more details. This is one of the better images but on the whole I took about 150 shots and all of them have their good points to some degree. I think it might be something I try to refine a little further as I think there may be really nice images to be had with some more experimentation. As I look at them I think now that the slight blur to them may be more of a plus than a minus as it keeps them from being to pristine and more airy. I know this may be more of a reflection but if you see it in action you can see that the water surface once disturbed seems to setup highlights and shadows like an interference pattern just like what is seen in a wave analysis pool.

Mark,

If you hadn't given a hint as to how you got this I would have never figured it out. It's really a neat shot. So airy and delicate. Nice work and very original. Denise
