Blade
by Teapot

I thought I'd try a studio type shot even though I haven't got any lights yet.
Used a desk lamp and hand held a red filter to add the colour on the edge of the knife.

There are two or three "Blade" entries in this challenge...this one is by far the best, not only in the quality of the photography but in portraying the sinister and dark mood of the movie. Excellent composition.

Teapot – Very strong, very emotional shot, I liked the use of the slight red tint on the blade, good work.

Great macro, love the red which conveys a feel of blood.... Vikas

I'm giving a green light to the red light! Very creative idea and says so much more than if it were obviously dripping in blood. ~ Lonnit

This is an awesome image. Very chilling. The red filter [I'm glad to hear it was done with a filter ;)] giving a red cast works perfectly. Well done. -Earl Waud

Wow, the use of the red filter reflection just totally separates this from a mediocre entry to a WOW one! Very creative! Love the dramatic lighting. angela :)

Love the DOF on this and the way the red light gives a message of *blood*
