Chateau St. Jean is one of my favorite Chards! I very much like the golden tone of the shot.

I also would like to add that, with the light the way it is, I really like the texture on the basket - Ralph Otto

lou – Would have liked to of seen a different arrangement for the roses and either cropped to the right or move everything over to the right in the shot. Other wise nice coloring and use of the theme.

Ralph,

I appreciate your comments. After reading them I measured the straightness of the bottle as best I could in Photoshop, and found it probably was leaning somewhere near 1/2 a degree. I did update the image after carefully reading in the rules that this was permissible. I'm not sure about your second comment. I find the basket and the light from the lamp shining on it making the image what I had invisioned. Just my opinion, though.

Hi Lou,
I like the idea and I like the warm colors. I do have a couple comments (*):

1. Maybe its my eyes, but it looks like the image is leaning to the left a bit.
2. The basket behind the bottle is distracting. I am losing the bottle towards the top. I'm not sure if the solution is improve the lighting on the basket or perhaps just change the basket out for something less busy.

Anyway - just my first impressions. Nice concept! - Ralph Otto
