Thanks everyone!

Joe, I had the flash backed off as much as I could, using the internal flash (-2 stops). As far as the sharpening goes, I just learned a new technique for sharpening for the web, and probably took it a bit too far. Thanks for the frankness.

Nice shot, well composed. On the constructive side (*), I would dial back the flash a bit so the highlights look more natural and, perhaps, ease off the sharpening just a bit. Nice image as is, though. --Joe Reilly

Great Ladybug! I really like the perspective of this. The image really gives me an idea of the scale of the tiny bug on what feels like a huge tree. Another incredibly sharp image that just pops off the screen. Nice work. E-

Beautiful detail here. Nice contrast too between the bright red of the ladybug and the green of the branch. Lisafx
