Why does it always happen in the middle of nowhere?

...I guess I should state that this image *isn't* the de-saturated one, in case you were wondering...!

Thanks all!
I took Daveed's advice and de-saturated the blue/cyan and the result was very good, a much darker, greyer sky.
Oddly, this picture was taken less than 30 minutes after "Together Forever" which has a dark ominous sky, and yet here it is gloriously blue!

Phil: Great idea and well done. Like others, I think the slanted horizon adds to the effect. On the constructive side (*), a set-up or time of day that would cast long car/person shadows into the road would give it a bit more drama. Same with some selective contrast boost on the clouds (to make them look more ominous). Again, great idea and very nicely executed. --Joe Reilly

I love the composition and the "interpretation of theme" for this image. I feel anxious just looking at the picture ;-)

I suspect this image would also look interesting in black and white. Maybe just desaturating the blues and cyans all the way could add drama?

Love the composition here Phil. The slanted horizon gives it a further feeling of frustration. Almost like the driver is so upset he can't think straight.

Nice job. Jim (shutter)

Talk about a time you DON'T want to be alone! Nice job - the empty road adds emphasis. Lisafx

I like the perspective with the camera on the ground. It's kind of a "gopher cam"
