Singapore

I'm proud of this photo. As I mounted my tripod began to rain. Everyone except this couple run away looking for protection. I didn't have umbrella but I continued photographing these young men. Me and my camera became fully wet but finally I was priced for my patience with this lucky shot (with 10s exposure!) without any movements.
And I am proud of my Canon gear - the camera & lenses survived this water-torture without any (visible) damages.

I like it either way, as I said. Without the umbrella, though, the repeating lines of the near dock and the far dock would not be broken and would be more evident. ~Lydia

Lydia, Traveller, thank you for your comments. Lydia - I’m not so sure. For me the couple is the center of the composition. Without them this would be just a lovely touristic picture, not less but not more. For me, the folks in foreground with their umbrella is what makes the picture interesting.

I've got to disagree with Lydia here...the people and the umbrella make the shot...me, I'd probably wait for it to be people free....and I would be wrong. This is....Something you could Sell. The image is that good.

Best Wishes, Traveller

It's lovely, K. But, in my opinion, it would have been just as lovely, if not more so, without the folks and the umbrella. It's a really attractive scene, well captured. ~Lydia
