Wonderful curvaceous composition. The dark grey background of these challenges does not do the photo justice - perhaps a frame would be in good order (as much as I try to avoid adding frames to my shots myself, sometimes it seems necessary).

Thank you everyone for your kind comments! CJ - it's been very wintery here, until the past couple of days; a lot of the snow is gone, and we've had temperatures "as high as" 50 F. The rivers are thawing, though lakes are still frozen. Won't be long now before we finally start seeing some foliage, I hope! -Kuivaamo

Great framing on this - I like the way the tree on the right curves around the central tree. Nice texture in the bark and the B&W conversion looks great. It must still be very cold in Finland. It was 90 degrees F. here in California and our trees are already leafing out! CJ

I like how my eye is lead through the image from the bark to the small birches far in the background. Nice composition! ~Sharon

Again, super bw conversion and a lovely image. Perfectly on topic, in my opinion. Regards Nico

The intricate patterns of the bark work well to frame the lines of the tree in the middle.
