I see Lydia is not listening to suggestions so I won't bother except to say I couldn't have been able to tell what it was without a hint from the title. I might have worked better with more information such as the shape of the head. -tv

I like how there's just enough information retained in the OOF image to know what the subject is. Almost like an impressionist painting. Very peaceful, so fits the topic very well. -Kuivaamo

Good idea Lydia, but I agree it's a bit too OOF for me too. Looking forward to the reshoot if you have time as this has a lot of potential. :-) CJ

Yeah... I don't like it much either... The idea was good, I think, but lack of time prevailed. I just wanted to enter something. Perhaps I can reshoot... or perhaps this can go down in history as "that awful OOF photo Lydia shot". *grin* Thanks for your honest critiques. ~Lydia

Lydia, we "know" each other well enough by now - and I know you appreciate honest feedback - so permit me to agree with Mary Anne: superb concept, but just too "artistic" (read "too out of focus") for me as well.

I think it might have worked better if you elected to retain a very very shallow depth of field, but made sure some part of the image would be sharply in focus, perhaps a close eye or something.

After reading about your hectic household in the discussion forum, I am totally delighted though that someone managed to "slumber" a little bit! I am sure it was well -deserved! :-) Kind regards Nico

Good idea and composition, Lydia, but it's just too OOF for me. I think a soft focus would work well, however.

Away in dreamland! This image gets the feeling across very well. Even the half and half composition works well with this. Lovely! ~Sharon
