Thanks Lisa! This does have a spooky feel to it - it might in part be due to that big knife and the apple almost looking like a heart! :-) CJ

This photo is chilling on a few levels; the very sharp knife, the drop of apple juice escaping the now cleaved apple, the depth of the cut, just deep enough to hurt, the blue hues on the apple and knife and the darkness of the photo all leave a chill. Nicely done.

Thanks Alan,Tom and Mary Anne! We just bought this knife and I thought it would make a nice "tool" image. But you're correct Tom, I don't do too many set-up shots but I liked how this came out. The drop was a surprise as I didn't notice it until I brought this up on the computer! :-) CJ
