gannet fishing technique

some images just won't rest, let alone allow use of delete button, despite quality being well below par. This was taken in pretty terrible light and I am always jealous of guys able to use 1/2000th or faster and low ISO.....next year maybe

16.9.15 - Gabe Diaconu has achieved it better, see http://www.pbase.com/image/161306829

Nikon D7000 ,Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED VR AF
1/1500s f/6.7 at 400.0mm iso640 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

So aerodynamic ! There ia a solution, careful synchronisation and leap while you press the shutter. The drawback is shortening the life of the camera.

Dont think anyone could better this shot. (You don't need a faster camera with great photographs like this.) V
