Rusa unicolor hainana - Hainan, China;
Rusa unicolor swinhoii - Taiwan;
Rusa unicolor boninensis - formerly Bonin Island (extinct);
Rusa unicolor brookei - Borneo;
Rusa unicolor equina - Sumatra.
