Poecile gambeli gambeli - Rocky Mountains of Montana to Wyoming, New Mexico and Southwest-Texas;
Poecile gambeli wasatchensis - Coniferous forests of South-Idaho and Utah;
Poecile gambeli inyoensis - Great Basin of Southeast-Oregon and Southwest-Idaho to West-Utah and Eastcentral-California;
Poecile gambeli abbreviatus - Southwest-Canada and coastal ranges of North-California;
Poecile gambeli baileyae - Sierra Nevada of South-California;
Poecile gambeli atratus - Mountains of North-Baja California.
