This American Bittern lurks in the outfall from the Riel lagoon to the marsh in the late evening, he plays a little hide and seek, and then scoots up into the reed bank when I get too close. We have been playing this game for several days now and finally I got a couple of reasonble shots of him - the light was very poor here so this and the next photo are quite heavily processed.
