October 6 2003: Fountains for Frederiks Kirke

Copenhagen

Frederiks Kirke, more often known as the Marble Church or Marmorkirken sits just behind the city's royal palace. It dates from the 18th century, although it was not finished off until more than 100 years later when a wealthy industrialist financed its completion.

Very nice. The white against the background is lovely.

Hey, thanks Patrick for those extremely kind remarks. Yes, I like the compostion too and considering its very near the Danish Royal Palace, there were surprisingly few people about! Its always good to hear what people think about my pictures, but sometimes you think you've done well and it all goes quiet!

This photo is absolutely STUNNING! Simply amazing blend of complementary hues. The sky is incredible and sets a terrific mood, the white water provides tremendous contrast - and the composition is simply stellar. I don't know, Ray - you've posted some really incredible pictures in the past, but I honestly find this one to be one of your very best. Extraordinary work! :>
