The name of this very small village has always fascinated me. These houses make a wonderful set in the afternoon sun and in the gap you'll see an older home up on the horizon. Up there is a main road, the A31 which uses the ridge known as The Hog's Back. That formed part of the Pilgrim's Way from Winchester to Canterbury and I expect a few notable people have looked down upon Seale through the ages. Today, people still take the long walk between the cities, but are urged to use the quieter route through Seale here - the modern North Downs Way.
