This row of cottages viewed from across a field caught my eye, although all I know is that it's called 'Jonathon's Kilns'. That would certainly fit with the various small chalk workings in the area. In fact a few years ago, there was a cottage very near here called 'The Pit' that hosted some music. Saw Paul Jones there once, and he performed outside by the old shallow pit!
