Caroline, this is an Arctic Tern as it has a pencil thin black trailing edge on the underwing, also a pretty unicolored looking upperwing.

This may well be an Arctic Tern, but with only this view, I would call it a "sterna tern", or a "Comic (Arctic/Common) Tern.
