Wildlife

This bird (a Turkey Buzzard, I think) was one of 5 sitting on the roof
of the Clifty Inn above the Ohio River. There are about a dozen in the area.
They hunt in the forest below and the woods near the Inn.

They are quite large close up. Hope there wasn't a meal too nearby.

WOW! The only time I've seen a turkey vulture was when it was sitting on a deer carcass in my yard!

Down here in Florida, when you see thses guys, there's usually something dead on the ground nearby. Stunning capture.

Yes it is a buzzard/vulture! We have them sit on our roof from time-to-time.

yep a vulture I'd guess, they like to travel in groups.. what a mess they leave where they like to roost.. and an Inn isn't a good place for all that! great catch

Great timing and catch. They have such large graceful wings and you've captured that here. V.

Isn't that a vulture? Too big for a buzzard, I suppose... (Hope it's no bad omen for the Clify Inn!)
Great catch, anyway.
