This is a sketch showing how Lochwood Castle, the older motte-and-bailley, quarry and marsh were situated with respect to each other. When the English captured Lochwood, they were surprised to discover how nice it was inside. Appearances can be deceiving.
When I found this sketch online, it was unattributed. If someone can supply the attribution I would be pleased to add it.
