T - thanks. The Tamron is my "walk about" lens. It is always on the camera as it sits in my house for its versatility. It isn't as sharp as the 3 Canon L lenses I have, 35-70, 100-400, and the 100 macro. But the Canons have better range of f stops, so it depends on the lighting as well. But if I want, Topaz sharpening gets the Tamron right up there with the Canon's (though not used here). And if I fly and only carry one lens, the Tamron is smaller and lighter.
