Not to a floor drain. Image in Pending shows. Previously not taped in. Now it is. More furnace room photos available by request.

My natural assumption is the water drain line run to a floor drain but since you use a water alarm it’s unlikely that’s the case so my next thought would be it goes to a collection tub or bin with a small submersible Little Giant pump that takes it to a drain of some type. Because of the cold it wouldn’t simply be pumped to the outside. Paul

That's the top of the chlorine filter, removing it from municipal water. I think you're correct about the white wire being for a sensor. The braided drain line is what woke us up in the wee hours a week or two ago. I suppose I should take a picture of where it terminates.

Looks like a professional installation.

You previously mentioned chlorine filter, is this a chlorine filter, removing chlorine from municipal water or is it an injector adding chlorine for a well water system? Then I look at the lines, the little white line left center looks more like a sensor cable but at the same time the clear braided 1/2 inch line (typical drain line) doesn’t remind me of the type to use push in connectors.
