The colors are also what caught my eye. Last year's leaves are all around the pond. The tree that's over it - a Japanese maple - is usually the last to drop. I'll look around the pond for some bright red.

I like how the water picks up the colors from the background leaves. Or is some of that reflection? Hard to tell - but it is intriguing.
