Snowdrops

Flowers in February in Michigan? Sure, why not?
They were under our recent snow, waiting for it to melt.

It was windy when I went outside to photograph these
flowers, and I had hoped to capture some motion blur.
Sure enough, when I got in position to photograph them
the wind died down. As Jim said, Nature can be fickle.

This IS a an action shot...just sloooooow Action. It is good to see flowers peeking their head out of this snow. Traveller

No daffodils yet, Paul. I expect them to push up in about two weeks, around the same time as the hyacinths. Lots of growing buds. Patience, all. Winter will still have its stay.

Jim, the gusts had had these hardy little blossoms quivering, but they abated during my brief time outside. It was cold, and my shooting position was a bit precarious, leaning over a hedge -- I have fallen there before -- so I did not stay long and might not have been at my steadiest. I missed the moment but still captured something good.

Daffodils are what I commonly see first break ground here well before the grass even turns green. Not a one that I’ve seen so far anyways. A few indigenous trees have started to sprout some buds but nothing too exciting as you’ve found. Paul

Pretty flowers. Nice in the snow.

Perhaps still a breeze, as 1/160 sec would probably freeze that motion.
